Jung Carl 

Jung looked into Archetypes which is a image and thought have universal meaning to cultures which may show in dreams, literature, art and religion.

Jung believed that symbols from different culture are similar because they come from archetypes and are shared to the whole world and race. Jung identify  large amount of archetypes but focused on four archetypes. One that is called Shadow and is to be believed the animal side of our personality thats comes from our creativity and destructive energies and comes down to the evolutionary theory.
